Enginuity Energy Center's Final Green Touch is Completed

In 2009 the Enginuity Energy Center opened in Hampden Township.  The renovated facility deployed high efficiency infrastructure technology and utilized sustainable building materials.  The facility was to be a testament to affordable green construction and serves as a learning center open to the community for the purpose of promoting awareness on issues related to energy and the environment. Enginuity Energy is pleased to report that the facility's final green touch is now in place.  In June of 2010 a 5kw solar PV array was installed and commissioned at the facility.  The solar energy will be used to power and offset the carbon footprint of the technology which serves the Energy Center's conference and meeting space.

LEED AP Study Group Coming Soon to the Energy Center

LEED AP Study Group Coming Soon to the Energy Center

*  A single-event workshop, followed by some self-study and practice exams, seems to be a good way to prepare for the Green Associate exam.

*  The LEED AP exam requires a great deal more memorization of details compared to the Green Associate exam. In addition, the exam requires the candidate to assemble these memorized details into problem solutions.

*  A single-event workshop for the LEED AP leaves the candidate with a substantial self-study program to prepare for the exam.

David Sheridan is organizing a LEED AP exam preparation course that will consist of four, three-hour meetings (from 5 pm to 8 pm on successive Tuesdays July 20, 27; August 3, 10). These meetings will include lecture, problem solving, exam simulations, and interaction. The intent will be to ramp up candidates so they are ready to take the exam soon after August 10.

The course will be held at the Enginuity Energy Center in Mechanicsburg. Course fees include refreshments and light fare.

The fee for all four sessions is $250. Registrants will be provided with a license key for an online practice exam service (which will factor into homework yes, homework). To register, use the PayPal link for secure credit card purchase. Or email Dave and hell arrange for payment by check.
